CLEVELAND – Downtown Cleveland based digital marketing agency 42connect spent a Monday morning out of the office and flexing their culinary skills — all while helping families in need. Team members at the agency joined together to prep, prepare and serve breakfast to the nearly 55 families at the Cleveland location of the Ronald McDonald House.
The volunteer opportunity was an important one for the agency, which is located near the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland. 42connect purchased groceries and approached the meal pot-luck style, with each team member in charge of a specific dish.
The Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland offers housing at little or no cost to families with children/teens undergoing medical care. The Cleveland home is often at capacity, with several large medical centers nearby, including University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children and Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital. The Ronald McDonald House enables families to focus on the health of their child rather than anything else — and home-cooked meals are an important part of this home-like experience.
